Sunday Reset

June 30, 2024--halfway through the year! It has flown by at times and dragged on at times, but here we are nonetheless.

Before I return to y'all with my monthly billable hour breakdown and goals for July, I'm here with my monthly reflection.

June had chaos + calm:

🎂I turned 38 and celebrated with my husband at a new-to-us Italian restaurant.

🧳I visited St. Louis for the first time, spending time with my colleagues there and completing the final session of HBU (new partner orientation).

⚖️I was sworn in as a board of director for the Milwaukee bar association.

☀️I welcomed, had meetings and assignments with, our summer associates.

🤝I had many, many 1:1 meetings with folks I've met through social media, as well as lunches to catch up with current and former colleagues.

💼I worked on new matters for new-to-me clients, enjoying the work and new teams immensely.

🎸I saw Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney live--so, so good.

☺️I took my own advice and rested (or ran errands) during slow periods.

🎾I played lots and lots of tennis.

A great month as I continue to enjoy the learning curve of becoming a partner and build some business foundations to grow a sustainable career from here.

I'm grateful for June 2024 and looking forward to July.
