Affirmations
I use The Four Agreements as daily affirmations.
One, I love, for its simplicity: I will do my best.
The others:
I will be impeccable with my word.
I will not make assumptions.
I will not take it personally.
I find, being impeccable with my word is the hardest one for me.
Reminding myself to not make assumptions and not take things personally, though, has saved me a lot of emotional energy and helps put things into perspective.
I was skeptical of affirmations at first, but now they are a lifeline.
