Being Myself

I didn’t always feel like I could be myself in #BigLaw.

I tried to check boxes and fit a mold.

Boxes and molds that were in my head.

Not always boxes and molds that others outlined for me.

Not always boxes and molds I liked or wanted for myself.

Over the last two years, I’ve worked at chipping away those boxes and molds.

Learning to trust who I am and what I want.

It’s been the best discovery.

Not easy.

Sometimes scary.

Long from over.

But worth it.

I hope you too can find ways to be yourself at work.

We need more of that.
