Believe

"I am not good enough."

"They think I'm not good enough."

Are these statements true?

I tend to be swayed by what I think others think of me.

Read that again: What I think others think of me.

By living in that perceived reality,

I let my confidence sink, and sink badly.

As a result: I began to fulfil the opinions I thought others had of me.

I believed I wasn't good enough, so I became not good enough (in my opinion of others' opinions).

When you step back from this,

When you reality check your thoughts,

You realize:

We cannot read others' minds,

And our thoughts about ourselves are what really drive this painful cycle.

The good news: you can interrupt this spiral.

If you find yourself here, ask yourself:

Is this true?

Do I have evidence of that person's thoughts?

If you find yourself here, reality check it:

Am I telling myself what I think they think?

If you find yourself here, remind yourself:

You are okay.

You are good enough.

How do you reality check your thoughts?
