Faking it.

Fake it until you make it.

No one benefits from this unless everyone admits they're doing it.

If we fake it until we make it,

But we don't admit it,

We're contributing to the myth that everyone has it together,

That everyone is trekking along just fine.

And what does making it even mean?

By focusing on making it,

We lend ourselves to that endless cycle.

Making it only begets more making it.

What can we replace this notion with?

How about:

Being present.

Acknowledging what got us here.

Recognizing we don't always have all the answers.

Enjoying the ride.

Do I fake it until I make it?

Probs daily.

I think most of us do.

But I want to let go of some of the connotations.

Life is hard enough without the pressure to fake it and make it (and doing it all over again).
