New Month; New Billable Goal

New month, another billable hour check in.

This year, I’m staying on track without trying to purposefully exceed my billable hour requirement.

Base is 1900.

Divide that by 12 and you get about 160 hours per month (because I like round numbers).

In October, there are 21 working days for me (unlike most months, I’ll actually be working a full day each of these 21 days).

160/21 = about 7.7 hours per day.

On days when I bill more, I’ll bill less the next day or average the credit over the rest of the week.

On weeks I bill more, I’ll bill less the next week or average the credit over the rest of the month.

Then I’ll rinse and repeat in November (when I’ll hopefully have some much needed time off).

How do you keep track and on top of your billable hour goals and requirements?
