Nice.

I am nice.

But, I am not too nice to litigate.

Advocating for clients,

In an adversarial system,

Does not require combativeness per se.

You can be kind,

And zealously advocate for your clients.

And negotiate with tough opposing counsels.

And navigate tough partners and work dynamics.

What I am learning is this:

You can be true to yourself and succeed,

Even in a tough profession.
