Recap of July 2024

July 31, 2024 -- where has this year gone? Each year goes by faster and faster. Time truly moves in mysterious ways.

Before diving into August (and my--trigger warning--billable hour check in), I will take a moment to reflect on July. To recall all of the personal and professional things I accomplished.

I find it important to look back, to put in perspective the work and life I'm living + building. In July:

🎇 had so, so many 1:1 and group meetings with friends, colleagues, and new connections;

🎇 had my first facial and massage in months;

🎇 learned I'd be presenting at the ABA Annual Meeting (this Saturday in Chicago);

🎇 enjoyed July 4th Up North and spent a week up there working remotely, learning that I can make that work and do it well;

🎇 joined a new litigation team that is bringing new relationships--with clients and contacts--and proving to be really fun;

🎇 started planning The Legal Mentor Network's Milwaukee happy hour--and connecting with in-house contacts to help lead the way;

🎇 prepared talking points and decks for four substantive presentations coming this fall;

🎇 finished off my first summer back on a USTA tennis league with a win.

It was another big but fulfilling--and shockingly relaxing--month. I'm grateful for the time and space to grow my network, build my professional brand, and spend time Up North.

Now, onto August!
