When It Gets Hectic
My work load increased rapidly over the last couple of months.
It became really overwhelming.
So, I implemented a new planning technique:
I assigned groupings of cases or a specific client to each day of the week.
One category or client per day.
One.
On their assigned day, I review the status of each matter assigned to that day's category.
I confirm deadlines.
I review all pending action items.
I try to move the ball forward.
I send the client or partner an update.
I release the matter from the part of my mind that never stops thinking about it.
And then I turn to the day's actual deadlines and deep work.
