Woman Lawyer

I used to never view myself through the lense of being a girl, a female, a woman. Growing up, I never felt less than or called out because I was a girl. My parents, both attorneys, raised me under the guise of achievement — of being able to accomplish things academically if I worked hard, without any reference to my gender or stereotypical gender roles. Since joining #biglaw in 2016, all of this has gradually changed for me. I recently had the honor of writing about this transition for The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Issue (March 2025) of the ABA's Law Practice Today. It is potentially the most candid and vulnerable piece I've ever published--a reflection on what it means to be a female, big law partner in 2025. It is a 6 minute read--search "what it means to be a female partner in 2025" to find it (🔗 will follow). ❤️🔥✌🏻 ---- If you want to learn more about harnessing your POWER to build a sustainable career in big law, follow me Emily Logan Stedman. #mindfullyemily #emilylitigates #lawyerwellbeing #professionalwomen
