I made it to my favorite place in this country: Oxford, Mississippi.

I often don’t realize I’m homesick for the South until I get here.

I didn’t feel truly Southern until I left.

While teaching in Arizona, I realized: I am a Southerner through and through.

The Midwest and South are more similar than dissimilar, so, I think, I don’t realize I miss it as much as I clearly do.

Being at Ole Miss, the place where I began to really, truly find myself, is a joy. I love this town so much.

Here’s to a slower work week and my law school family getting here in a few days.
