2022
Dear 2022,
You were a lot.
Iβm learning that being a near-middle-aged adult is just that: hectic, ever moving, constant.
This year brought some intensity:
π₯ a big billing year;
π₯ cancelling a trip home and missing my summer camp reunion;
π₯ another jury trial;
π₯ eight depositions (back to back to back);
π₯ COVID;
π₯ family health concerns on all fronts.
This year also brought so much joy:
βπ» a new puppy;
βπ» a new home;
βπ» associate leadership opportunities;
βπ» speaking engagements;
βπ» zero-billing days (and vacation);
βπ» a workout plan and routine that works for me;
βπ» an office with external windows.
And then thereβs LinkedIn, which left me speechless on a number of occasions:
π€― a community of nearly 5,000 of you;
π€― 3.3M views and counting;
π€― two viral-for-me posts;
π€― loads and loads of meaningful connection and encouragement.
I am forever grateful for the yearβs lessons, highs, and lows.
In 2023, I hope to upgrade each of this yearβs joys and successes, building on the lessons and growing them further.
Thanks for being here and riding alongside me. I appreciate it more than one post can capture.
