2022

Dear 2022,

You were a lot.

I’m learning that being a near-middle-aged adult is just that: hectic, ever moving, constant.

This year brought some intensity:

πŸ”₯ a big billing year;

πŸ”₯ cancelling a trip home and missing my summer camp reunion;

πŸ”₯ another jury trial;

πŸ”₯ eight depositions (back to back to back);

πŸ”₯ COVID;

πŸ”₯ family health concerns on all fronts.

This year also brought so much joy:

✌🏻 a new puppy;

✌🏻 a new home;

✌🏻 associate leadership opportunities;

✌🏻 speaking engagements;

✌🏻 zero-billing days (and vacation);

✌🏻 a workout plan and routine that works for me;

✌🏻 an office with external windows.

And then there’s LinkedIn, which left me speechless on a number of occasions:

🀯 a community of nearly 5,000 of you;

🀯 3.3M views and counting;

🀯 two viral-for-me posts;

🀯 loads and loads of meaningful connection and encouragement.

I am forever grateful for the year’s lessons, highs, and lows.

In 2023, I hope to upgrade each of this year’s joys and successes, building on the lessons and growing them further.

Thanks for being here and riding alongside me. I appreciate it more than one post can capture.
