MLK — I have a dream today.

61 years later, the call to action remains imperative and applicable:

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

We continue to live in turbulent and noisy times. I hope we can each take a moment today to reflect on how far we’ve come and how far we’ve yet to go. So much to do, still. So much to do.
