Attorney Anniversary

May 7, 2014 -- Eight years ago today, my judge (who I was clerking for) swore me into the Wisconsin bar.

(Nine years ago Wednesday, I graduated from law school. Not sure how all this time has passed.)

Never would I have guessed what would follow law school and passing the bar.

Staying in Wisconsin was not the plan at that time.

#BigLaw wasn't part of the plan for another year or so.

I wasn't even sure I wanted to ever get married.

I definitely did not want to own a dog--let alone two.

And I had not begun to think about--or even dream about--making well-being part of my professional life.

It's been a ride--a privileged, sometimes difficult, often times joyful, ride.

I'm grateful to be an Ole Miss Alum, an attorney, a Midwest lawyer, and a big-law associate.
