Biggest Month

This month was insane.

I went from having possibly the most chill year of my career to having the biggest billable-hour and tracked-working-hours month of my career.

After 9 months of laying the business development foundation, I couldn't just turn it off when the billables picked back up.

So, here we are, trying to do both: maintain the investment time, while also doing what I love: litigating, litigating, litigating.

Although I don't wish to repeat these hours anytime soon, I did learn some things:

💡You can track a high-volume of hours and still find moments for pause and rest (this remains the year of the nap for me).

💡 You don't forget how to manage the high intensity following months of low intensity.

💡 You do have to say no to things, to reschedule non-essential things, and to ask your family things like, "Is it worth going Up North with y'all if I just have to work all weekend?"

💡 You do have to communicate more and more clearly every step of the way, with your colleagues, clients, and opposing counsel, but also with your friends and family.

Now, here's hoping that November and December turn it down a notch (or two).

❤️🔥✌🏻
