Billable Hour March 2023

March 1, 2013 -- time to check in with my billable hour requirement.

How we got to the ninth month of my associate year is beyond me, but here we are.

I'm chugging along towards 1900--my goal this year is to hit that, not exceed (at least not by a lot).

Last year was a big year for me.

I enjoyed it.

I've reaped some benefits.

But, it was a lot.

By slowing down, I've been able to keep up my workout routine, have more quality free time, and increase my firm investment hours.

So, what does March look like?

I need to hit 170 hours.

I will do this through 18 full working days and 6 half days.

Those half days represent two things: (1) two Saturdays at a pro bono clinic; and (2) a trip to Mississippi for my 10 year law school reunion. I hope to soak in those days at Ole Miss by working some and enjoying the rest.

170 / 21 = 8 hours on full days and 4 hours on half days.

I'll break this down into weekly goals.

I will adjust each day as I miss, meet, or exceed the daily goal.

I'll do the same each week.

And I'll chug ahead toward April.

I feel good going into March.

How about you?
