Books for Law Students and New Lawyers

Three books I recommend to law students and junior associates:

πŸ“š Point Made, by Ross Guberman -- practical advice and writing tips, with real world examples and lessons. This book is just so well done, as is its successor, Point Taken.

πŸ“š 50 Lessons for Lawyers, by Nora Bergman -- more practical advice, this time on how to run your practice. Although some action you cannot take until you're more senior, this book will get you thinking about those things much sooner. It's successor, 50 Lessons for Women Lawyers, is also one I recommend often.

πŸ“š The Gifts of Imperfection, by BrenΓ© Brown -- this one helped me lean into my humanity, cut back on perfectionism, and embrace the fact that we are never alone in our struggles (important things to keep in mind when entering a tough profession).

I read these all as a mid-level and senior associate.

I wish I had read them much, much sooner.

I return to each quite often.

Any books you'd recommend for those just getting started in their legal career?
