Digital Calendar
With a blink of the eye, I rely upon and cannot live without my digital calendar.
I was never this girl.
I've done everything by hand and by paper since I entered Kindergarten in the early 90s.
When I say everything, I'm not exaggerating.
Paper planners through my first 5 years as an attorney.
I took notes by hand in college and law school.
I took all my law school exams by hand.
I took the bar exam by hand.
I still write first drafts of briefs by hand sometimes.
I still use a bullet journal to track daily schedules, budgets, grocery lists, and more.
There's just something about my brain that clicks with good ole pen and paper.
But, when it comes to actually remembering things, my Outlook calendar is where it's at.
☑ Birthdays
☑ Weekly/Monthly Chores
☑ Reminders of when to follow up with folks about things
☑ Time Blocking
☑ Notes about trying to not have caffeine in the afternoon
☑ And literally so much more
What I love even more about this, is that on certain days (like today), I get to the day, review the day's reminders, and get to delete, delete, delete them, because they were organically taken care of without need to follow up or remind.
That feels like a win today.
As does the balance of my beloved pen and paper and the modern digital calendar.
How do you keep track of everything?
