DITL v.3
Some work days are filled with meetings and calls.
It has been a minute since I had a full day of back-to-back meetings and calls--those days are hard and draining.
Typically, it looks more like this--Day in the Life v.3:
530 AM Gentle Alarm Goes Off
545 AM Out of Bed; Get Ready--I have some time to do a more leisurely morning routine, so I'll: shower, make a hearty breakfast, complete most of the Miracle Morning, do some NYT puzzles, and then head to work.
830ish AM: Get to Desk--prep for day, triage emails, add to to-do list.
9 AM: First Meeting--a focus group for a firm initiative.
10 AM: Break--triage emails, one-off tasks.
1030 AM: Business Development Chat--coaching ahead of an upcoming 1:1 with a potential client.
11ish AM: First Work Block--tackle a substantive task and keep other files moving forward (also: eat lunch).
1 PM: Meet with Co-Chairs of Women's ERG Sub-Committee (Retention and Advancement)
130 PM: Break--triage emails; quick tasks.
215 PM: Call with Milwaukee schools leader to discuss his students' upcoming visits to my firm.
245 PM: Second Work Block--tackle another substantive task and keep things moving.
430 PM: Work Out (office gym)
515 PM: Closing Ritual--review day's completed tasks, enter time, make tomorrow's to-do list.
545/6 PM: Home--dinner, some zoning-out TV, cuddle pups, etc.
845 PM: Start Winding Down--whenever possible, I set out tomorrow's outfit, tidy up, wash my face, read for fun (up to 30 minutes), and do an into-sleep meditation, before falling asleep (the Hatch has this all set up for me).
