Friends

I make friends at work.

I always have.

Some of my best friends in life came from each job I’ve held:

🤝 As a camp counselor

🤝 As a resident advisor

🤝 As a fifth grade teacher

🤝 As editor-in-chief of the law journal

🤝 As a law clerk

🤝 As an associate

During each of these phases, I met people who came to play a valued role in my personal life and professional development.

During each stage, I met people who helped me get through stressful moments and celebrate life’s wins.

Networking is important, but having a support team, built on friendship, is more critical.

Do not be afraid to build friendships in a professional environment.

You need your people with you every step of the way.
