Prep for November 2023

To start each month (or end the last), I look ahead.

Yes, as a lot of you know, I recalibrate my #billablehour goal and progress towards it (see tomorrow's post, or avoid it as needed (#triggerwarning)).

But, I also:

πŸ‚ Think about my LinkedIn content, generating ideas for the upcoming month or rejiggering the ideas I've already planned out. I might also write some posts if the juices are flowing.

πŸ‚ Update my wall calendars--at home and in the office, keeping an eye on personal and professional commitments that fall outside normal office hours (if those are even a thing anymore).

πŸ‚ Check in on any other goals I have; this year's have been reading more and getting back to tennis (check and check).

πŸ‚ And, of course: I update my tech backgrounds (pictured below).

For November 2023, that looked like:

πŸ‚ Writing out this week's LinkedIn posts. I don't draft and redraft, but write and let fly (or schedule and don’t look back). That helps me stay authentic and keep my voice without overthinking.

πŸ‚ Thinking about hosting Thanksgiving--my favorite holiday--and dreaming up Thanksgiving Cards instead of Christmas Cards this year.

πŸ‚ Brainstorming ways I can support my return to tennis with other workouts and healthy endeavors, including time blocking my day even more than I already do.

πŸ‚ Thinking through deadlines for this week and the rest of the month, trying to pace myself as we head toward a big December (personally, so I need to plan professionally).

Cheers to November--my favorite month of the year!
